Description
This set of One-Sided Stainless-Steel Training Stairs are ideal for physical therapy rehabilitation facilities looking to conserve space while offering all the benefits of training stairs to their patients. Measuring 65"L x 30"W x 60"H and with a weight capacity of 800 lbs., this unit is capable of handling bariatric patients as well as regular, daily use. Four steps ascend from one side leading to a generously sized platform. Incredibly sturdy as these stairs are made of 14-gauge type 304 stainless steel. Additionally, the exposed exterior surfaces have been polished to a satin finish. Slip-resistant material is affixed to each step, providing another layer of safety. As sloped walking is one of the most difficult leg movements to attain for those re-learning to walk or trying to regain leg strength, these training stairs are one of the most important tools of the rehabilitation protocol. In addition to leg work, training stairs are terrific for stroke patients as well as those with balance issues. Why balance? Because training stairs require balancing on and activating one leg for a moment in time before the other leg moves to the next step. Walking stairs is also a terrific and efficient low-impact cardio workout. Stainless steel handrails have a diameter of 1.5", making for an easy and secure grip for all. The steps are 6" tall. Climbing stairs forces the body to work against gravity, utilizing muscles that often get neglected with other forms of exercise. Step climbing exercises have been shown to improve leg strength and step length in stroke patients. The top platform measures 31" x 31", ensuring plenty of space to safely turn around, rest or do additional exercises like squats.
