Knee CPM
Continuous Passive Motion (CPM) for the knees is a rehabilitative technique used to enhance recovery following knee surgery or injury. A CPM device is employed to gently and continuously move the knee joint through a set range of motion without requiring any muscle effort from the patient. This repeated movement helps to maintain joint flexibility, reduce stiffness and swelling, alleviate pain, and promote healing by improving blood circulation and facilitating the distribution of synovial fluid. CPM therapy is commonly prescribed to prevent joint stiffness and scar tissue formation, aiding in the overall rehabilitation and functional recovery of the knee.
