Since 1983, Spirit has been a leading name in the world of fitness for gyms and facilities. In 2020, that same expertise has become available for the home. The XBU55 is a simple and effective Upright Bike that's perfect for the home but is packed with facility-level features. The bike is comfortable, offers a smooth ride and because it's a Spirit, incredibly sturdy and durable. The XBU55 is built to exceed expectations with a 30 lb. steel flywheel system working in conjunction with an 8-groove poly-v belt drive train. Comfort is assured with oversized, self-balancing foot pedals and the large, cushioned seat which is easily adjusted up, down, fore and aft. It also features a back-rest adjustment that reclines for individual comfort & preference. At 43"x 22" x 54", this unit doesn't take up a lot of space. Even though the bike is built with extra-heavy-gauge steel tubing, it still only weighs 100 lbs., so taking advantage of the transport wheels integrated into the front floor support tube to reposition the unit is never a problem. The 3-piece steel cranks feature high-quality bearings, ensuring the longevity of the bike and less worries about maintenance. The bike has a 7.5" bright blue backlit LCD screen on the console that gives users all the information they need and want at their fingertips including a separate Muscle Activation Profile that displays which muscles are gaining the most benefit during a workout. Helping the XBU55 stand out are the eight factory preset programs which are offered against 20 levels of resistance, which because this is a Spirit, can be toggled from the handlebars. The preset programs include Manual, Hill, Fat Burn, Cardio, Strength, Interval and Heart Rate Programs 1 and 2. If a program isn't what's wanted, this unit allows the user to create two programs of their own. There's also a Quick Start option if someone just wants to get pedaling. The multi-functional console holds an adjustable cooling fan and dual speakers with an audio jack for comfort and entertainment. It also includes a tablet friendly reading rack and an accessory tray that can conveniently hold keys, phones or an MP3 player. Contact and wireless heart rate monitoring, which makes workouts even more effective, is enabled by grasping the hand pulse sensors on the handlebars or through the included heart rate strap. The XBU55 has a 350 lb. weight capacity and comes with a fully illustrated assembly guide and owner's manual. All the tools and parts needed for assembly are included and no power tools are needed. The console displays RPM, Calories Burned, Time, Distance, Pulse Rate, Speed, Program Name, Laps, Heart Rate and other data. Features a convenient water bottle holder and storage compartment for keys or a phone. The console is Bluetooth compatible, enabling it to interact with Spirit Fit app to create more engaging workout sessions as well as saving workout data. The padded pedals feature a 2 degree inversion that places the body into an anatomically correct position throughout the workout. Easy to clean. Simply wipe down all areas in the sweat path with a damp cloth after each workout.
