Helping to elevate this unit above others is the intelligent pulse-by-pulse filtering which provides accurate measurements, even on patients with dark skin tones. Designed to measure the pulse rate and oxygen saturation levels in the arterial blood, these sensors are easy to use. Designed for use in busy, multi-patient environments, the unit is hinged with an articulated spring closure for flexible easy placement, providing easy and secure positioning as well as convenience for frequent removal and repositioning. An image of a finger with a nail clearly indicates the top of the sensor and the proper direction for placement. Sized for an adult and suitable for those weighing 66 lbs. or more, this is the sensor only. Pulse oximeters are available separately. It is recommended that measurements be taken using either the Index, ring or middle finger. The sensor is form-fitted to decrease ambient light interference. Designed for comfort as self-aligning clips help ensure proper placement on the finger. Cleaning the sensor between uses is quick and simple. Simply use a soft damp cloth with mild detergent.
